S&S Mediclean are specialists in healthcare and NHS cleaning, from theatre and ward cleans, to cleaning mobile units that move location regularly and high-risk and deep-cleaning contracts.
As the company expanded nationwide, managing hundreds of jobs, rotas, and compliance reports became increasingly complex.
They were using Big Change, a strong platform with a wide feature set. But as the team grew, the cost of adding new users became unsustainable. The system, as is typical with off-the-shelf databases, also delivered functionality in areas they didn’t need, and not enough of the specialist flexibility their model of work required.
We built them a full system that does exactly what they need. A desktop app gives office staff control over contracts, schedules, and reporting, while a mobile version lets field staff log in and out, upload photos, and order supplies in real time. It also manages holidays, rotas & stock control. Finally, a client app that allowed them to book and review jobs, to see reports and to download compliance certificates.
