We were away camping last weekend. The usual heaps of effort and ramming the Land Rover full to the roof of all the bits we might need – just in case.
But there were trees. A river. The sun. Kids laughing.
And they were playing cricket, football, and begging to go canoeing — not crowded round the only screen with battery and signal. Magic.
Good friends, their families, and some brilliant memory-making.
With that relaxing time came space to think. And for us, and a few of our friends, those thoughts were drifting back to business plans and budgets waiting on our desks.
And that’s just it, in those moments during August meant for rest, also comes a kind of mental unpacking and reflection. The rare ability to look at your business without all the usual noise.
For those still at work, maybe your inboxes are slower for the moment and perhaps this is also an opportunity for clarity?
– Is your website an asset or a placeholder?
– Are you measuring noise, or outcomes?
– Is your content strategy built to serve your business goals — or just fill a feed?
– Can you articulate the problem your offer solves in under 10 words?
– Are you investing in visibility, or just activity?
We always look forward to September. Yes, things move up a gear. But it’s an exciting time. Because it’s the month where our customers come back having seen the bigger picture, thinking about how far they’ve come, and where they want to be by year’s end.
Until then… may your days be balmy, restful and long!
